The Ever-Important News Post to Read Before Commenting on Pages.

Due to readers comparing this comic to other already established Sci-fi and futuristic media; I've come to the decision that I will remove such comments that do so. This way my work can be enjoyed on its individual merit.

I'm doing this not only for new readers, but for me too. You have no idea how quickly I grew tired of people comparing the first few pages of chapter one to Mad Max. Initially I said, "sure, Mad Max was awesome? definitely inspired by mad max."... But that left a bad taste in my mouth.

I realized quickly that PMDLG is it's own thing of the sci-fi genre. And it should not have the vision of other works pushed into it's image. I want to create something awesome and have fun doing it! but I found it hard to do that with people flooding the comments section with comparisons to other things. Sorry for not speaking out about it earlier.

So for your sake and mine, I'll be removing any comments that compare PMDLG to already established movies, shows, books, and games. no exceptions. thank you for reading and I hope we can all enjoy PMDLG for what it is together!

I concur.
I've grown tiresome of it as well.

Well Well now I know why my comment disappeared all in a sudden. No problem. I guess it is a bit annoying to have people telling you every reference and inspiration you get.

If I may oppose this line of thought, I do not believe this is inherently harmful. Perhaps such comparisons may be annoying in some regard, but ultimately there does not appear to be any harm in it in the scheme of things.

As for it forcing an "image" that the comic must be compared to, I have the utmost confidence that your comic will show itself to diverge from that of Mad Max. But in the meantime, I see no harm in comparing it to it, so as long as the comments do not turn to that of an utmost negative attitude. Just mere observation, or excitement for what may lie ahead.

After all, a PMD comic in this vein has yet to be done to my knowledge. Such comments would seem to express excitement and praise in an indirect way.

But that is just my two cents as an observer.

I semi-agree In my opinion, I REALLY don't like people telling me what my stuff was inspired by. if I REALLY want people to know I would tell them my inspirations myself, not the other way around.

On the other hand, people often do this to give praise for the idea. however, it often does not seem this way, so I can see why most don't like this, myself included.
